Government Announces New Property Legislation
The governemt announced today that it will be changing the property laws to cover leaky homes compensation. Our property specialist see this has both pros and cons for property owners and investors.
The government has recognised that the Leaky Home Syndrome over the next 20 years will undoubtably become a larger national problem. Today they announced a set of guidelines for new legislation that will see builders and property developers responsible for righting any identified defects in structures that are directly linked to poor building standards. The claim period is to be extended to 20 years, with owners being able to get free inspections within that period.
